Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query.Your problem is most likely costochondritis.Pain while palpation on the area is characteristic.Any how it is better to do an ECG and chest X ray if needed to rule out the cardiac cause of it to be on safe side. For my patients with costochondritis i treat with anti inflammatory gels of Nimusulide or Diclofenac for local application.I also give the oral tablet of same if pain is more.If there is no improvement after that then i recommend local injection of Corticosteroids or anesthetics.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if you have any further query.
