Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain Near The Collar Bone
Hi, I am shantanoo and 48 year old male. For about a year i feel a pain on the left side of the chest. It is around 3 inches below the collar bone. I can feel the pain when I press on the area. Looks the pain is superficial. The pain can be felt when I press down on the collar bone also, at a place near the middle of the chest. What should I do? I have a feeling that it aggravates when I do lot of typing on the computer
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more likely because your pain is associated with specific body position (typing and computer work) and pressing. So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief in musculoskeletal pain. 1. Avoid movements causing pain. 2. Apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest. 3. Take simple painkiller and anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. 4. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise. 5. Sit with proper back support. Don't worry, you will be alright with all these. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
