Suggest Treatment For Chest Pain, Headaches And Anemia

Hi, I ve been sick for 3 weeks now, and i ve had different types of problems such as chest pain, trouble breathing, major headaches and weakness, I went to my pediatrician and he told me it was stress but then diagnosed me with anemia, but for 3 days now, I have been feeling worse, my weakness has gotten worse, I sleep all the time throughout the day, & it s honestly the only thing I feel like doing. My stomach doesn t let me eat, and when I do i have to force myself to eat and afterwards I can t help but throw it up. I have a nagging feeling in my stomach all the time, and can barely get up from bed. When I try to watch tv, my eyes start hurting quick and they get tired. My right eye also appears to get really small at times.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Since you have been diagnosed with anemia and presently are feeling very weak, fatigued, unable to eat anything and have headache and weakness, you are suggested to visit ER and get admitted in a hospital. You need immediate medical aid. You will be given intravenous saline with vitamin injections so that you recover faster. Take food rich in iron, calcium and proteins.

You can take acetaminophen, one SOS when required for relief along with antacids. You will be taken care of. You need medicines like digestives and appetizers, antacids and PPIs to help your digestive system. You need rest and care. This is not the time to stay back at home, get clinically examined by a GP, get blood tests, CBC, urinalysis, swab/ sputum tests and imaging tests done if required. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
