Suggest Treatment For Chest And Shoulder Pain Caused By Ischemic Heart Disease

I have been having left chest pain with ear ache and shoulder pain, I went to ER last week they did echo which says ischemic heart disease....left atrium dilated, aortic valve sclerosis , mitral valve regurgitation, abnormal diastolic function, la volume by biplane method is 44.00ml. My chest feels just as achy and tight as it did last week but worse with climbing stairs or when stressed at work and still SOB, my bp is 148 over 91 heart rate 70. Is it just stress or should I be worried.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi..
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.

I guess its Ischaemic Heart Disease and hypertension. I would suggest you to consult your doctor as soon as possible and start taking medications as prescribed by your physician. Additionally, please get Lipid profile and blood sugar level done.

I would recommend you to start taking medicines ,control blood pressure by following DASH diet (Dietary approach to Stop Hypertension).

Wish you healthy and happy life

Regards

Dr.Hamid
