hi my name is lexinne.i was recently involved in a motor vehicle accident and have been suffering from neck and back pain ever since.an xray was done and it says (there is loss of the normal lordosis, and osteophytes are noted at c5/c6 and there is narrowing of the interposed intevertebral disc spaces).plus it also said cervical spondylosis with disc degeneration at c5/c6 thats to the cervical spine:the doctor said i had arthritis in both my neck and back.my question is,if i had arthritis in both my neck and back, why wasnt i feeling any pain before the accident?the accident took place the 23rd of january 2015.i am forty years old.i m so sorry i dont have any of those cards you are asking for.i didnt know i of to pay.i genuinely dont have any money.

Welcome to health care magic.

1. In cervical spondylosis - there is will by bony growths - osteophytes, reduced disc spaces and bulges.
2.But if your symptoms are after the trauma - then the could be some disc slip which can not be seen on x-ray.
3.Due to which there will be a pressure effect on the chord and exiting nerve root - gives you pain.
4. In this case cervical and back exercises will be helpful in initial stages and later you may need physiotherapy.
5. As you mentioned financial difficulties, other wise MRI spine will give a clear picture about the pathology.

Good luck.
