Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was given oral antibiotic to treat cellulitis on my thigh. I've taken 3 doses ... 29 hours. the original darker redness has shrunk a bit and is lighter in color but it has grown slightly in diameter in a lighter pink color. when should I get to the ER?
Hello, I have studied your case.I think that you should continue taking antibiotics. I would also suggest you to show it to your doctor. I thing your pus is getting liqified so there is increase in size of the swelling. I would also recommend you to take rest and avoid standing for long time. Compression bandage is also helpful. I hope this answer will be helpful for you. Let me know if there is any other follow up questions. thanks
