Hi I accidentally burned my calf on a hot exhaust pipe from a motorcycle. That night I showered and poured peroxide on it (OUCH) then poured betadine. The next day the outer layer skin was purple and peeling, once it partially peeled off I could see white splotchy red skin. I applied Clear Balmex that night. Welcome to HCM. I have carefully worked through your case , and I can realize your health worries.

It is all going as it should have to be Burns go like this. Now you have to remain fully pain free using Ibuprofen. It will also reduce swelling due to inflammation around the corners of the wound.

Apply Triple antibiotic topical ointmemt on the burnt area to acvoid and silver sulfadiazine topical. If you feel pain and bjrning sensation even after taking Ibuprofen, apply Lignocaine gel for pain relief.

Keep the wound clean with Pyodine as you are already doing.

Hope it helps. Need further assistance, contact me anytime directly from my profile.

Regards!
