Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello, so about two days ago i felt my lips feel really dry so i licked them and i felt on my top lip that i had little bumps that are flesh color on my lips and im not sure how to treat them.
i thought it could have been an allergic reaction to my lipsticks or my lip liners but the bumps are on my lip not the lining of my mouth.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of bumps on lips which is mainly because of herpes simplex virus infection i.e symptoms of cold sore. It occurs because of lowered immunity of body. Need not to worry about it. You should avoid pricking it. Use antiviralointments such as rich in acyclovir. You should visit general practitioner once and get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly. Wash face frequently only with water. drink plenty of fluids. Cover skin while exposure to sunlight. Apply petroleum jelly on lips.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
