Suggest Treatment For Bump On Head After Injury

Hi, I hit my head on a wall about a year ago and a bump on my forehead swelled up to about the size of a tennis ball. Since then the swelling went down and now it s just this hard lump on my forehead that won t go away. Are there any home remedies I can do for it to make this lump dissapear?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain it seems that due to injury there has been soft tissue injury and along with it there seems to be ruptured blood vessels leading to hematoma formation and at times the hematoma gets encapsulated leading to formation of a firm mass that takes a long time to resolve..

Nothing to worry as it is not anything serious and will get resolved soon..
You should do alternate warm and cool compresses over the swelling..
You can apply Heparin Gel as it helps in faster disruption of the clot..
You can also take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen..

In case if it does not resolve or show signs of improvement in month consult a General Physician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
