Suggest Treatment For Bruising On Thigh After A Fall

Recently fall down a flight of stairs bruising my thigh pretty good. I am on blood thinner medication because I had a heart attack back in march. I can't take ibuprofen for swelling but i have been taking Tylenol. Should i stop taking blood thinner meds until brushing is healed?

Hi!
Welcome to HCM!

I can understand your problem!

Since you have been taking blood thinner following heart attack last year, the bruising associated with the fall is due to the side effect of the blood thinner you are taking. May be the dose is not adjusted properly, because a slight increase in the dose of blood thinner may result in bleeding in the muscles, joints, etc following a trivial injury.
You are advised to undergo the clotting tests like Prothrombin time and INR your prothrombin time and INR should be within the normal range to avoid the bleeding tendency.

Regards!
