Suggest Treatment For Breathing Problem

Thank you. A change was made in my medication for Parkinson disease which I ve had since 2008. I had been taking ordenary carbidopa/levadopa 23/100, but my neurologist wanted me to try the Controlled Release type. I started having a problem taking a deep breath and yawning, and in checking out info regarding this new med, it lists bizarre breathing problems as a possible side-effect. This matches my symptoms, for sure, but I was wondering what the considered a bizarre breathing problem. I even had to go to the ER two nights ago as it was getting really bad. After doing all kinds of tests there, they said they couldn t find any serious problem (with heart, lung, etc.) They did find I have a UTI and prescribed med for that. But they didn t help me with the breathing problem. So any info you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Parkinson disease is neuropsychiatric disease.
Your all routine reports for heart and lung are normal, so possibility of psychological cause for your bizarre breathing is more.
And hence, better to consult psychiatrist and get done counseling sessions.
Try to identify stressor in your life and start working on its solution.
You may need anxiolytic and other anti psychotic drugs too.
Don't worry, you will be alright.
Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
