Suggest Treatment For Bowel Incontinence In An Elderly

Mother-in-law, 93 years of age, is losing control of her bowel movements just recently. First, is that considered incontinence? Further, she is wearing a disposable underwear and my wife added an absorbent pad, but she and husband, also 93, wake up to find a mess on the bed sheets, pad, and blanket. Looking for suggestions on how to address this.
