Hi,
Migraines are
headaches or pain over the temple, face, and the skull area. Along with the pain, one can also has
numbness,
tingling, and
dizziness.
Migraines can be caused by trigger factors like sunlight, loud music, lack of sleep, and excessive exercise can cause or trigger migraines. Stress can also be a trigger factor for migraine.
This along with lack of sleep or anxiety can also cause migraines to occur more often.
Most people find avoiding trigger factors useful for preventing migraines. Along with this, the following can help as well.
- Taking a warm shower
- Sleeping or taking naps in a dark room
- Steam inhalation
- Ginger lozenges
In case the pain still persists, using over the counter NSAIDs like
Paracetamol can help as well.
This will help reduce the pain and may stop the migraine. In case, the pain persists, meeting a doctor in person for the appropriate investigations(EEG, Ct scans, or Blood tests) needed can be useful as well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Vignan Rachabattuni
