Suggest Treatment For Blood In Stool And Back Pain

I took shard hit ziplining to my left side and that afternoon developed intense pain to my left side on back beneath my rib cage. I began seeing bright red blood in first stool and water. By evening I had second stool with maroon blood and pain on left side still intense. I continued to have lighter colored stools almost everyday till they were pale grey green. The blood became clots in my stool. I didn't feel bad..still don't but pain in back is still bad enough I can't sleep on my left or right side. There is still blood but not as much, last nights stool smelled like a dead Human body (I know, I am s cop) I don't feel bad , no swelling bruising or fever. The smell was the worst and didn't smell like feces. What should I do?

Welcome to health care magic,

Blood in stool or bleeding during defection could be due to piles,fissures, fistula or rarely any growth in rectum but it needs to be evaluated further by digital rectal examination and other relevant tests.

So,you need to be examined around anus and per rectum by surgeon to rule out above possibilities.

Meanwhile,you can take below treatment for symptomatic relief.

1) Take quinolones antibiotics with antiprotozoals,
2) Anovate or Dobesil cream or ointment to be applied over anus after defecation,
3) Hot sitz bath,
4) Sit naked in hot warm water for 15 minutes
5) Avoid alcohol,
6) Avoid oily and spicy foods.

For back pain or left side pain beneath the ribs could be muscular origin for which you can take symptomatic treatment.

So,it would be better you consult general surgeon who will do thoroughly clinical examination with relevant investigations like colonoscopy to detect the exact underlying cause.
