Suggest Treatment For Blood Diarrhea

i just pooped out blood, like it was diarrhea, but it wasn't. it was about the amount of blood that would be on the toilet paper if i were on my period (I'm not) and it was red and fresh looking when i wiped. it stung a little when i came out and i have been very anxious for the past 3 weeks.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Dear- the treatment for bloody diarrhea is based in the diagnose of what is causing it. It is important to have a checkup with a colonoscopy to identify the bleeding site and make sure that your hemoglobin is not low that needs transfusion. I recommend you to see your doctor as soon as possible or go to ER if still actively bleeding. There are few possibles causes as internal hemorrhoid, polyps, colitis and diverticulitis. The only way to find out is through the scope.
Hope my advise will be helpful
