Hello,

The blood clots in lungs definitely requires long term intake of acetrom, warfarin or other anti coagulant medications as per the pulmonologist or critical care specialist advise. As there is pain in liver area, kidney areas as well, there can be systemic issues as hepatitis, renal malfunction or other via current drug intake with alteration in clotting parameters, liver or kidney functioning.

However, a clinical examination with recent evaluation of:
- Clotting parameters as bleeding, clotting time and activated partial thromboplastin time
- Ultrasound of the liver
- Liver function tests as SGPT and SGOT
- Kidney function tests a serum urea, creatinine are the most essential to find the cause and manage accordingly.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
