Hello,

You can apply ice over the heamatoma, blood clot formed to reduce it in size. It will take some days for it to heal. It might turn green in color and then black and then may resolve. If the swelling has reduced and the blood clot reduces in size as days pass, there is nothing to worry about the healing.

However, if she develops immense swelling, fever or pain increases, then a doctor should be seen for examination of the injured area as these are the signs of infection.

Kindly do not hurt your daughter. Have control over your temper when dealing with her and explain her calmly what you want her to understand.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HCM. I wish your daughter feels better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
