Suggest Treatment For Blocked Artery Other Than Surgery

Hi i have blocked artery in my both legs for 14 years , My doctor told me just surgery may help me . I am 54 years old . I had done balloon and some other thing but didn t help . I am so scare to get surgery because they have to cut half of my leg. What I suppose to do Is there anything what can help me with out surgery? Yes I am smoking cigarettes 20-30 a day . My feeds are blue and is hard to walk .I am taking 81 mg aspirin . Please let me know what i should do ? Thank you so much for your time . Grace

Hi, you must be knowing this but it is important for me to re-iterate this that you HAVE TO stop smoking if you want any hope of getting better. If you continue to smoke, most likely your surgery or bypass graft will also fail. Then, if they have already tried ballooning then the only option left is to do a Bypass surgery. To comment upon that I would need to know which artery is blocked and till what level, so it will help if you share your CT Angiography report with me. In any case, you should stop smoking and share photos of your leg and your CT or Angio report for a complete advise. Take care.
