Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I burned the palm of my hand last Friday night and it is healing. One spot still has a blister which drains from time to time. A smaller spot has dried up and now the skin is tight and bruised looking in the area. Would a steroid cream be helpful to aid healing and help the skin return to it s natural color?
Your symptoms seem to be related to burning. I suggest to use anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using an antibiotic cream such as Neosporin cream for local application.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
