Suggest Treatment For Bladder Infection And Kidney Stones

I am a 20 year old male and about a month and a half ago I passed a 3mm kidney stone and was diagnosed with a bladder infection. I have long since finished all my prescribed medicine and taken proper care of myself. I am sexually active but have been cleared for no STD s but still when I urinate I have a burning sensation. As of a couple days ago I have frequently been seeing these odd string like blood clots in my urine. Why?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
Thank you for contacting HCM.

Burning during urination and blood in urine, both things point towards the possibility of UTI ( urinary tract infection). It is a possibility that this may be a new spell of infection or your previous infection is still lingering on due to resistant strain of bacteria.

If I were your consulting physician I would run some tests
1.Urine D/R
2.Urine culture
3.Ultrasound KUB
and then plan your treatment accordingly.

I would suggest you consult your local physician to get your full work up and treatment.

In the meanwhile maintain good hydration level, approx 2 liters of fluid per day....and take fruits and vegetables while avoiding proteins as they make your urine acidic.

I hope this answers your query. Please feel free to contact HCM again if you have any concerns.
Wishing you good health.
