What Causes Yellow Thick Discharge From The Bump?

I have what looks like a hole on my right thigh. I'm pretty sure it started out as a pimple, skin blemish, or just a bump. But when I squeezed it and fell asleep that night, I work up and the was a big swollen circle around a raised spot, the swollen area was about an inch in diameter. I have to squeeze it about every hour if not sooner. A bright yellow thick goo comes out. It may look like mucus, but it's not. I removed the scab, and looks like a hole with something down in there. It looks like the goo, but I can't be sure. Please help.

Hello,

After reading your query it appears that you got boil which caused hole and is presently secondarily infected.

A proper would care is must to be taken care of. In my patients with such a probable I generally suggest to apply an antibiotic cream such as fucidin or mupirocin very thinly.

An antibiotic orally is required for controlling the infection. I generally prefer for ciprofloxacin or amoxycillin.

All the best.
