Nowadays my girl child aged 11 is not interacting well with me and her behaviour has changed..... moreover she is getting far from me and lieing a lot....and her academic level decreased.....last wk she and her friends attempted to commit suicide...God s grace it was noticed by some other students and told to teachers....so...they call me and informed about this.....this made me much upset and feels that my parenting has some lack regarding my children mental activity....so I need a psychiatrist consultation ....i will be thankful if u give me a good solution for this....

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

With a history of attempted suicide and the other behavior changes mentioned, it would be best for her to be taken to see a psychiatrist.

It would not be enough for advice to be given, she needs to be seen face to face.
Any issues that she is having need to be discussed in depth with her to prevent a repeat attempt at her life.

This should be done as soon as possible.

I hope this helps
