HELLO DOCTOR, I M SUFFERING FROM MALE PATTERN BALDNESS FO LAST 4-5 YEARS, BEFORE THAT I WAS SUFFERING FROM DANDRUFF FOR LAST 10 YEARS, I USED SCALP, ARCOLANE ANTI DANRUFF SHAMPOOS..NEITHER DANDRUFF WAS CONTROLLED IT WORSENED INTO SEBHORIC DERMITIS AND FOR HAIR LOSS DOCTOR GIVEN ME FINASTRIDE AND MINOXIDIL...PL SUGGEST WHAT TO DO

Hello dear,

I have read your query and understood your concern.

For dandruff, antidandruff shampoo containing ketoconazole/ ciclopirox oleamine are helpful to be used on alternate day basis till it disappears. But to prevent recurrence, maintenance therapy is required.
alongwith ,you may use noskurf lotion in night time over dry scalp for 2 weeks.

Male pattern baldness responds to minoxidil and finasteride very well. But long term treatment is required for beneficial effects.
