Suggest Treatment For Bad Odor Bowels

I'm having several bowel movements each day, normal color and consistency, but very strange odor. It's sort of a sweet, nutty odor and they usually float but not always. I'm also having lots of intestinal gas. Last fall I noticed this change from the normal stool odor. I'm on Ramipril 2.5 mg once daily. Could this be related to my meds?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

* The ramipril tablet will not be responsible for such stool change.
* The issue sounds related to bowel flora or digestive enzymes.
* Primary guidelines at present

- strict dietary control to avoid dairy fat, cheese items
- control body weight, blood sugar, cholesterol levels
- regular walking, exercises
- plenty of liquids
- get once stool microscopy was done in the lab and consult with the report.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
