General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The report of your lab test is suggestive of Sjogren's syndrome. It is an autoimmune disease characterized by dry eyes and a dry mouth and is usually associated with other immune system disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, lupus, or mixed connective tissue disorder.

There is no documented evidence showing the efficacy of herbs or vitamin regimen in the treatment of such disorders. Drugs like hydroxychloroquine and/or methotrexate are found to effective in the treatment of this disorder. A rheumatologist's consultation however is recommended for further evaluation and treatment.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
