Suggest Treatment For Auditory Hallucinations

I have a 86 year old mother in law who is having episodes of hearing voices and thinking people are living in the attic. She lives in a mobile home and there is no attic. She also accuses her husband of having a girlfriend living in the attic. My husband and father in law are at a loss as to what they should do. They have taken her to her doctor within the last month, but she didn t find anything. Suggestions? My father in law is getting tired of her accusations and doesn t know what to do. He s 91,

Dear friend,the problem in your mother-in-law is that she is having hallucination.this can be a mere case of psychosis due to old age or due to geriatric scizophrenia.how much you try to make her understand that her ideations are not based on facts or everything she is speculating are all false she will never accept that.and naturally it is quite frustrating for the persons living close to her.it is wise to see a psychitrist for her problem.hopefully a proper treatment regimen will helpto cure her.thank you .
