GOOD evening. So your father has got cancer of esophagus. So first of all a CT scan is required to look if cancer has spread to other sites of body. Because that will change the treatment. If your father is healthy and the tumor is limited to esophagus then surgery and chemo will be done. If cancer has spread outside then only chemotherapy is the option.
