Suggest Treatment For Anxiety, Severe Mood Swings And Fibromyalgia

my wife has been diagnosed with Lupus and then the Dr. said it was not Lupus that it was fibromyalgia then they said it was Fibromyalgia. Then about a year ago she went out of our marriage and said she was compulsive and had axiety - Im thinking she has BPD / i feel like i m walking on egg shells with her because of her love and hate personality. What are the short and long term health effects of BPD, I love my wife even though it hurts me knowing she cannot love me the way a normal person would. We ve been together 16 years and we ve had our championship rounds of verbal combat. we have 2 great kids and I just dont know what to do. I need guidance

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your wife is suffering from anxiety, severe mood swings and fibromyalgia. From what you have narrated it means that she has not been diagnosed of the illness she is going through. You are suggested to get her a complete medical check up done to detect any chronic disease that may be troubling her that is left undiagnosed and untreated. Get all her physical ailments treated.

She should also be connected to a Psychotherapist or a psychiatrist so that the cause of anxiety and other mental problems is evaluated and treated at the earliest. You are suggested to take care of your two children who now need more of your love, care and support.

As your wife will be under treatment you should concentrate on your job/business as treatment costs may go high. You will have to learn to take care of yourself also. Take care of your health, stay away from addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
