My 17 year old daughter is in her first semester of college and also just started taking Quartette. She recently started sharing with me that she has been having anxiety (which she believe is due to stress of classes) she has some hair loss, in addition to an upset stomach since the beginning of the semester. She has had headaches, which occasionally are migraines and insomnia. All can be consistent with being in college. and all can be consistent with side effects of Quartette. She is local and can come home on weekends, but lives on campus. Prior to this the only symptom was an occasional migraine. Should I have the birth control changed?
I can understand your concern for anxiety and hair loss.
After interpreting your query I can make out that your daughter has a lot of stress and the same is responsible for upset stomach as well as the problem of hair fall.
It is quite natural with young people to get such kind episodes during initial part of any new environment. I suggest you to get your daughter counseled for the same so that her anxiety gets reduced.
Additionally ask her to make good friends with whom she can share her concerns and anxieties. You can meet her teachers and can take the favor to have your young daughter relaxed.
In general all these parts are not related to the hormonal tablets. Still if you are worried then can take further guidance from a gynecologist.
All the best
