Hi, I have been getting dizzy spells, loss of appetite, after an ankle sprain. I also have swollen lump above the ankle with a red circle in the center (highest point) of the lump. I thought i was getting dizzy because i haven t been getting a lot of sleep. but the red isn t going away after 10 days. So i started googling my symptoms. I am thinking maybe of seeing my doctor tomorrow. I also realize i haven t been drinking enough water.
All your symptoms suggest systemic infection leading to swelling and redness. Enlarged lymph node in neck is common condition and needs proper evaluation.
we can start antibiotic regime and look for results. You may need to investigate in form of complete blood count, ESR, CRP, tuberculin test, and Fine needle aspiration cytology or open biopsy. There could be possibility of infection like Tuberculosis or sarcoidosis.
So I will advise you to consult a specialist and do required investigation.
Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
