Suggest Treatment For Ankle Pain

I have ankle trouble (left ankle) internal pain around the bone on the left outer side using 500mg of tylenol and icy hot rub. Had tried ice, ice water, even hot items no avail. Also elevate where I can at times. I am a home health nurse and being on my feet every day does not help my cause. Even sometimes the pain goes on the heal achillies tendon area as well.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

As you mentioned, being on your feet continuously would not help and may possibly worsen your discomfort.

If at all possible, you need to spend an extended time resting the ankle, this is an important part of treatment.

Instead of the tylenol , you may want to try an anti inflammatory pain killer such as ibuprofen, cataflam or naproxen.
One of these may help you better.

I hope this helps
