As per your Description your symptoms might be related to
iron deficiency anemia , it may be due to excess loss of blood while menstrual cycle , poor diet or problem in absorbing iron in your intestine and for that your doctor has prescribed you iron pills as you said

Iron Supplements on an empty stomach, which helps the body absorb them better. If they upset your stomach, you can take them with meals. You may need to take the supplements for several months
As you are approaching Final exams it is very important to take a Healthy Diet that include red meat ,dark green leafy vegetables ,dried fruits,nuts,iron-fortified cereals
-Additionally,
vitamin C helps your body absorb iron. If you’re taking iron tablets, a doctor might suggest taking the tablets along with a source of vitamin C, like a glass of orange juice or citrus fruit.
apart from this please visit your GP as soon as possible to rule out the exact cause of your anemia and get it treated
