Suggest Treatment For Anal Infection Due To Fever And Discharge
Hello, I m pretty sure I had an anal infection due to the fever and discharge I had. I also had hemmoroids because of it. I went to urgent care because my insurance does not kick in til 12/01 due to starting a new job. Urgent care gave me antibiotics but i feel like I have a small lump near my anus and my behind is numb and itching. I also have a rash that is coming and going on various parts of my body. Sometimes there are scratch like raised bumps as well as redness and sometimes raised bumps. Is this something I can wait on til 12/01 to get blood work and see a regular doctor? Any ideas on what this can be? Thank you so very much in advance! ~Michele
Hi, Infact having infection in and near anal region can give rise to fever and discharge. There might be having some skin and soft tissue infection near anal opening. There is possibility of having fistula in ano as well. Consult surgeon and get examined. After proper diagnosis like fistula, infected hemorrhoids or local skin infection, plan of treatment can be decided. Meanwhile you consult surgeon, go for one antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicine course. Keep local hygiene clean and dry. Ok and take care.
