Suggest Treatment For Anal Dysplasia And External Hemorrhoids

Hello: I am an HIV patient of 66 years of age. I have low grade anal dysplasia and some external hemorrhoids all of which are being treated successfully. My stool sample revealed microscopic blood present. My last colonoscopy was unremarkable seven years ago. I am scheduled for a colonoscopy at the request of my doctor. I have lots of bloating, sometimes watery stools and constipation but has been treatable with Lomoti. Of course, I am concerned. What should my level of worry be. Thanks, Jeremy

Hi,

Treatment Options for Anal Dysplasia. Monitor via HRA every 6 months until normal twice in succession, then annual Pap smear.

Topical treatment (see below) may be indicated for symptoms such as bleeding, itching, or burning; or for discrete lesions.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Monish De, Oncologist
