Suggest Treatment For An Itchy Bleeding Mole In Throat Area

I am 56 years old, healthy and have always had what I believe you would call a hanging mole on the middle of the throat area--very light colored on the end. It started to bleed this morning. I have often thought of taking a piece of string and wrapping it tightly and removing- I have put oil of oregano on it. Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you are having pyogenic granuloma.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Only curative treatment is cryotherapy, cauterization or trichloroacetic acid application done by a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
