Suggest Treatment For An Allergic Reaction To Diflucan

My daughter had diflucan at 10am and has been experiencing an allergic reaction since noon. She has had Benadryl earlier today, this evening and again tonight. She has swelling on top of her top lip, mouth pain swelling around her nose and eyes. No trouble breathing or wheezing. She has CP and takes other medicines for sleep at night but is not resting well. Also had itching on her face which is resolved for now. I do Not want to take her to the ED if at all possible. Any other ideas that will not sedate her any more?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

No, allergic reactions are treated mainly with antihistamines which she used.Severe reactions are treated with steroids but this is not necessary since some of the symptoms are resolving. She would not be able to use any additional antihistamines since she needed to use 3 doses today. Benadryl can be used up to 4 times a day but she may not have the chance to use it again before morning.
