Suggest Treatment For Amoebiasis In A Baby

my baby is 3mos old and was diagnosed with amoebiasis from the result of her stool exam with e.histo cyst and troph, pus cells numerous, she was given flagyl for 5 days and we did the stool exam again and it gave us a result of pus cells 1-3/hpf, fat globules +++ , no cyst or troph seen...is it possible for the pus cells to become 1-3 from numerous in 5 days?

Hi,

The stool examination immediately after medicines is likely to show normal reports. 1-3 pis cells in hpf is normal Fat globular suggest poor digestion. In my view baby needs lactobacillus supplements, digestive enzymes drops now. Baby should be breast fed as far as possible.

Dilution of top feed with boiled water and perfect hygiene of feeding bottle by the feeder is must. Treatment of mother / caring person and her hand cleaning needs improved. All the treatment you be confirmed by her treating doctor.
