Suggest Treatment For Adult Onset Epilepsy

I a 25 year old male and was diagnosed with severe adult onset epilepsy. I haven t taken medication since I 18 but have had seizures since then. Recently though I have been having more twitches then usual and have been having disturbing thoughts. Thoughts about hurting myself, or that something bad is always going to happen. I have been a bit stressed lately and am looking into getting help now that I have health insurance. My question though is can epilepsy cause you to have thoughts that aren t usually normal to what you usually think about?

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
