Hello doctors! I have acne vulgaris on my face, shoulders, back and thighs. I have been prescribed to take oral contraceptives and was undergoing the treatment with Benxoyl Peroxide, Adapalene, Clindamycin after 2 years i.e now am suffering from the same thing and have been prescribed AZEE 500 and Adapalene since 3 weeks and till now its not showing any result. Is there any relation of acne with dandruff? Pls help. I am really sad :(

Hallow Dear,

Acne are due to male and female hormone imbalance. It increases the oiliness of the skin.

1. Please keep the area dry.
2. Do not apply any oil based cream.
3. Do not apply hair oil.
4. Frequently wash the area clean with neutral soap.
5. If while punctums are seen, you may have to apply some antibiotic cream.
6. Do not handle or puncture the acne; this leaves dark marks behind.
7. Turmeric paste is good for acne.

Hope this helps you.
