Yes please. I m taking tecta as I may have acid reflux. I want to know what I can eat for breakfast. I m trying to alter my diet as I don t like taking medicines. I have a healthy diet already and have quit coffee which I only drank a weak cup in the morning. It s stressful. Thank you. Heidi
Acid reflux can sometimes be very distressing. It's good that you have started avoiding coffee. Lifestyle modification is very much effective in preventing acid reflux. It is advised to eat small but frequent meals, avoid spicy foods, coffee, smoking and alcohol.
Try to raise the head end of the bed by about 6 inches, and do walk regularly after meals. Try to have a gap of at least 2-3 hours between the last meal and time of going to bed. If symptoms do not improve with these measures, then we suggest antacids like omeprazole, ranitidine or sucralfate according to the patient. However, any medication should be taken only after consultation with your doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
