Suggest Treatment For Acid Reflux While On Prozac

I have been taking prozac, and I have been vomiting and experiencing sever burning like acid reflux only worse. It does not matter if I eat rfood or not. I have been taking the prozasc for over a year and this had just been a recent . I am sure it is the medication , why is this happening

I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.


regarding Prozac: it's an antidepressant, belonging to SSRI group. it's one of the best drug in this group used mainly to treat depression and other stress related disorders. one of the main side effect of Prozac is Gastrointestinal problems which include nausea, vomitings, dyspepsia, gastritis, diarrhea soon...

regarding management: if we look at benefit to side effect ratio with Prozac, I prefer to continue Prozac as it one of the best drug in treating symptoms. so, I recommend you treat gastritis with tab pantoprazole 40mg with domperidone combination. if your still suffer with above side effects avenue after using above medication, then you can taper the dose of Prozac and shift to another antidepressant.
