hi doc. my name is lance and i suffer from acid reflux and was last diagnosed with chronic gastritis a month ago fro my endscopy results. I have sever pain directly over my belly button area after about 4hrs of sleep each night. i get up drink cold water or juice and lay back down and it comes back after another hr or 2. no problems in the upright position during the daytime. presently taking dexilant,omeprazole, protonix but they dont work.doc is prescribing carafate now . whats your opinion. i am reading up on it.
