Suggest Treatment For Accidental Ingestion Of Melted Plastic
I melted plastic beads in an oven and they smelled. Then I spent prolonged periods over a piece plastic while I was using a little drill and now I have a headache. Is this because of extended deep focus of my eyes, there was a light source keeping everything illuminated also, or because of inhalation?
The headache you are experiencing can be because of the inhalation of toxins emanating from plastics. since your exposure was only once you shouldn't be worried much. But make sure you don't get exposed to such melted plastics as the toxins released are dangerous to health. But right now you shouldn't be worried, take some rest and have plenty of water to make sure toxins are flushed out of body.
I would have prescribed an analgesic like paracetamol to my patient in the clinic. You too can get it prescribed from your local doctor or try counter irritant balms available over the counter to get relief. Do not worry you will be alright.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Suhas Chauhan
