Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain, Cervical Polyp Growth And Ovarian Cyst
Hi i went to thw emergency room a month ago. I was diagnosed with a cervical growth (polyp) and a right ovarian cyst. I was told that after a month they both should go away. Im still having abdominal pain does this mean they are still there? I was also told the polyp will fall off during urination is that true?
Hello and welcome to HCM, A polyp in the cervix and a right ovarian cyst may be the cause of abdominal pain. A polyp in the cervix needs to be removed by certain procedures like cryo. Spontaneous shedding off of the cervical polyp is unlikely. Ovarian cyst is a benign conditions. It is asymptomatic when small but may cause abdominal pain, menstrual irregularities when large enough. Its removal may be required if symptomatic but can be followed up if small. I suggest you to consult a gynecologist for removal of cervical polyp and follow up of the ovarian cyst.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja puri
