welcome to Health care magic.
1.Black stools generally indicate presence of old blood ( from higher level).
2.Get a stool examination for presence of blood in the stool.
3.Try to change have healthy diet like salts, fruits, avoid junk food and see for 2 weeks.
4.If there is no change in stools, then i would recommend you to get a CT scan done, which will evaluate your post operative site and and any infection / inflammation in the operative site.

Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
