Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about a 37 years old female who has three children, have mild IBS,
cholecystectomy 8 years ago, can not tolerate fast and greasy foods. Occasionally suffer from gripe, stomach ache, sweating followed by immediate bowel movements. Now pain in right upper abdomen after food - followed by bowel movements, bad odor in stool ...
The cause for the present complaint looks to be due to the following:
Gastritis or Duodenitis as you have pain after food in the right upper quadrant.
Entero-colitis as suggested by smelly
loose stool after food.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Send the stool, blood and urine for tests,
Get started on proper Antibiotic,
metronidazole, probiotic and supportive therapy.
If there is no relief then you need an upper GI endoscopy and
colonoscopy, CT scan of the abdomen.
This can be taken as IBS that is
irritable bowel syndrome only if all the investigations are necessarily normal and then the major cause is the anxiety and/or stress .
