Suggest Treatment For A Very Itchy Scalp And Rash On Legs And Feet

Is magnesuum sulfate in the sulfa family? My daughter is allergic to sulfa and recently has had a very itchy red scalp. We tried head and shoulders no luck. I have checked for lice several time but her whole scalp is red. I got a product to help with is and she has used it 2 days and now has a rash on her legs and feet. Could it be from that?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Magnesium sulphate does not belong to sulpha family.
However, the itchy scalp and rashes on the body could be due to allergy to magnesium sulphate.
If the symptoms of itchy scalp and rash developed after consumption of magnesium sulphate, it is probably due to allergy.
I suggest you to consult your doctor immediately for clinical assessment.
In case, the symptoms turn out to be allergic reaction after clinical assessment, anti-allergic treatment and discontinuation of magnesium sulphate will be required.

Thanks and take care
