Suggest Treatment For A Swollen Ankle And Frequent Pain In The Calf

on december 12th i was carrying in grocery in to my house when i slipped and fell. my right leg slipped out away farm me (doing the splits) while my left leg slipped out away from me sideway causeing me to land on my ankle pointed outward...i was i severe pain in my ankle and i landed on the inside ankle bone and couldnt even get up by my self at first...long story short. i went to work next day and every day after ...never went to the doctor and my whole leg is swollen down to my foot. it is noticeable larger than my other leg i can walk without to much pain but i get a really bright red rash on around my ankle and calf frequently .it goes away eventually....and my foot is hot and cold in different places....do i need to see a doctor

Hello dear Greetings
Sorry regarding your leg! Following your experience of swelling in your leg down your foot following a severe fall I am suggesting that you have developed the following differential diagnosis

Ankle fracture/dislocation
Rhabdomyositis
Tendosynovitis
Peripheral vascular injury

In view of this please do the following test
MRI TEST
Leg /Ankle x-ray
Complete blood count
ESR
Doppler scan

Meanwhile visit an orthopaedic specialist with the results and for expect clinical assessment and adequate drug prescription

Moreover you will benefit from physiotherapy at least three times a week and please take the following
Tablet analgesic
Tablet antibiotic
Multivitamin
