Hi! I got a sunburn about 4 days ago while it normally turns into a tan the next day it is worse then I ve ever had! My sunburn is turning purple in spots and is just as red as the day I got it! I ve tried everything in my mind and I ve ready to help and still no change! It doesn t hurt nearly as bad but still painful. What are your thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to sunburn. I suggest taking frequent cool baths or showers to help relieve the pain.

Use a moisturizer that contains aloe vera or soy to help soothe sunburned skin. Take Ibuprofen to help reduce any swelling, redness and discomfort. Drink extra water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
