Suggest Treatment For A Rash On The Scrotum

Hi. I m 18 and about 5 days ago I noticed a rash on my scrotum. It s red and itchy. It covers most of it. Has clear boundaries to where it stops. I see no noticeable lesions. I am an athlete who sweats often and I have not had sex in 10 months. I have no other symptoms but itching and redness.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
This is fungal infection. Fungus thrives on warm and moist skin like groin and under scrotum. Contributing factors are high humidity, heat, perspiration, diabetes mellitus, obesity, friction from clothes. Fungal infection is contagious. Transmission occurs via infected towels, linens, and clothing.
Advice
1.     Use cream containing clotrimazole, steroid and antibiotic such as Lobate GM cream thrice daily locally
2.     Fluconazole 150 mg twice weekly by mouth for 2 months
3.     Wear loose cotton undergarment
4.     Avoid sharing clothing, towels, or bed sheets
5.     Wash clothes and bed sheets in hot water
6.     Do not scratch too much. It will cause skin infection and black pigmentation of skin
7.     Take high protein diet such as eggs and cheese to boost immunity
8.     Investigation – blood sugar (F & PP)
Thanks
